Recent work led by a synergistic group of 3DFeM researchers shows ferroelectricity can be generated in a material that does not have those properties just by stacking it with a material that is ferroelectric without modifying their chemical formulation. The new study, which appears in the January 8 edition of the journal Nature has implications for next-generation processors, optoelectronics and quantum computing.
